It has been a busy winter here at The Wave. Our kitchen has been given a remodel and new oven, made possible by the labor of my family and their willingness to work for food. You may have also noticed our website has a fresh new look and we’ve added a blog. We bow down to our creative gurus at Webdrafter.com, Melodi and Kevin. Kudos to you and your creative team.
The beer cooler is no exception to the make-over, I’m referring to its contents of course. With recommendations from our favorite Hop Heads we’ve sipped and sampled a plethora of frothy brews. And the first three victors are:
California Blonde Ale – 100% certified organic from Eel River Brewing – California. This Blonde is a light and crisp with a perfect balance of malt and subtle bitterness. If you’re attracted to blondes this could be the one for you.
Second Wind– Craft beer in a can, another Wave Fave from Mother Earth Brewing – North Carolina. Uncomplicated and down-to-earth, the mild hop bitterness and gentle floral and citrus like character of this beer result in an invigorating experience. If you’re searching for your second wind, you’ve just discovered it.
Bell’s Two Hearted Ale –Bell’s Brewery – Kalamazoo, MI. This IPA is defined by its intense hop flavor, malt balance and fruity aromas of Bell’s house yeast. This leads to a remarkably drinkable American-style India Pale Ale. Enjoy, I know I will!
That’s not all, we have more to follow as another tasting will ensue next week. … we’ll keep you posted!
