Just like Aunt Dotty used to make.

When I think of Lentil soup, I think of my Aunt Dotty. When I was a young girl I had my mouth wired shut from a broken jaw.  Only able to eat through a straw  Aunt Dotty would puree her delicious lentil soup and feed it to me.  I lived for that flavorful soup.  It’s been 40 years and I can still taste it. Fortunatley I married a chef who makes an incredible lentil soup as well.  It’s chocked full of all those wonderful flavors of sausage, proscuitto, garlic and spinach, my mouth is watering just thinking about it.  Come in and taste this family heirloom in fact you can take some home with you.

The Joint is Jumpin

We are excited to bring you this hard to find brew on JAZZ FEST Sunday.  In limited supply, get it while it lasts.

In honor of the 40th anniversary of the original release of Bitches Brew, Miles Davis’ 1970 paradigm-shifting landmark fusion breakthrough, Dogfish Head Brewing created their own Bitches Brew — a bold, dark beer that’s a fusion of three threads of imperial stout and one thread of honey beer with gesho root. It’s a gustatory analog to Miles’ masterpiece.

Featuring the album’s iconic artwork on its label, Dogfish Head’s Bitches Brew was unveiled at SAVOR, An
American Craft Beer and Food Experience,  on June 5, 2010, at the National Building Museum, Washington DC.

The brew was brought back with a very limited release in 2012.  Rated a 99 by Beer Advocate.  Dogfish’s Bitches Brew is available in  750ml. For more on the Bitches Brew beer and album, please visit http://www.MilesDavis.com/brew
